As he grew older, drumming was more than a gift, it became his passion. Fortunately, he had two mentors Minister Joshua Mayfield and Jermaine Ballew, both from Kansas City, MO, who are both professional musicians. They taught Ryan the technique and the strategy of forming his own trademark while playing drums. Among the two mentors that he had growing up Ryan also had other artists who influenced his progression. These include artists like, Tevin Curtis, Lacy Comer, Josiah Maddox, Courtney Byars, to name a few.
